Innovation & Productivity
Grants on a matched funding basis, generally between $50,000 and $2 million, are available for food and seafood businesses undertaking projects based around: either the design and implementation of new technologies, production or processing techniques, the adoption of food production or processing technologies developed overseas, the innovative redesign of existing production/processing lines to improve efficiencies and productivity.

Australian Produce
Grants between $50,000 and $750,000: on a matched funding basis of at least 50 per cent of the project costs, in cash. The program is designed to better promote and market Australian produce, assisting agricultural and seafood industry bodies and not-for-profit entities responsible for agricultural marketing. This will assist in further leveraging Australia’s
competitive advantage in agricultural production, improving the competitiveness and profits of local producer’s traditional domestic markets and to new or established export markets.

Grants are available under the program to help stage major national events organised by animal or plant industries, taking place in Australia or overseas, that aim, in whole or part, to: encourage the development and adoption of new technologies and systems that will improve productivity and promote Australian agricultural products and services,
encourage industry-wide and/or through-chain collaboration to effectively respond to challenges presented by climate change and globalisation and to better promote the advantage of quality Australian produce to international markets.

Grants will be capped at $2 million. It will be expected that proponents will fund a share of project costs. Proposals that fund 50 per cent or greater will be viewed more favorably.
